The NOVA Information Center conducts on behalf of the four university institutes the (inter)national astronomy communication to different target groups. The NIC runs a press service (press releases, pitches to media, mediatraining, press visits and more), but is also active in education for primary and secondary schools (mobile planetarium, textbooks, events and more). In this contribution the NIC will show what the options are to communicate to and engage with those target groups, and how to pick the most effective communication channels.
